An honest, handcrafted reflection on loss, renewal, and rediscovery.
Alone is the striking new album from singer‑songwriter and producer Leo Brazil — a deeply personal yet universally resonant project born from the breakup of his long‑term musical partnership and marriage. In the quiet solitude that followed, Leo turned to songwriting as a lifeline, documenting the emotional aftermath with unflinching honesty. Living and working entirely alone in his West Yorkshire home studio, he wrote, recorded, and performed every note himself — transforming isolation into a raw kind of liberation where music became both therapy and rediscovery. To preserve a raw, live intimacy, each song was recorded with vocals and guitar performed together, using only minimal overdubs.

Across its ten tracks, Alone captures the quiet determination of rebuilding — a collection that’s fragile yet fearless, deeply confessional yet full of warmth. Layered with acoustic guitar, violin, Mellotron, and pedal steel, it blends folk, psych, country, and blues into something distinct and emotionally immediate.

Drawing on his connection to the natural world, Leo fills these songs with poetic metaphors — from the endurance of snails and the flight of mayflies to the resilience of badgers and the “War On The Wild.” Tracks like “No Matter How Dark” and “Perhaps I Have the Power” glow with hope amid vulnerability, while “Unsinkable Sam” and “Sleep For Years” turn animal stories into moving reflections on survival and transformation.

With handmade artwork, self‑produced videos, and a beautifully illustrated lyric book, Alone stands as both closure and new beginning — the sound of one artist rediscovering himself, finding light, balance, and healing through creation.
The album and book are officially released on March 7th with a launch show at Amped in Huddersfield and a mini tour promoting the album still booking for 2026.
Biography
Leo Brazil has been creating his own music since he was a child singing into a tape machine. Drawing on a love of classic pop, rock and roll and soul, Leo writes thoughtful songs with a lyrical focus and a confident musical individuality. Running a label out his home studio brewing up a unique and colourful evolution of sound, 2026 sees two album releases; the introspective wonky folk solo album Alone and the bombastically heavy psych-rock of the dinosaur inspired band Bone Wars. Leo plays keyboards, drums and violin but live he sticks to guitars and banjo to conjure up emotive ballads alongside rousing ear worms and foot stomping guitar freak outs.
He has supported The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Son of Dave, Floral Image, Trip Westerns, The Blow Monkeys, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Chris Helme, Space, Miles Hunt, Romeo and Michele Stodart, Water Tower Band, Jake Vaadeland, The Blues Band, Seamus Fogerty, Liela Moss, The Rails, AK/DK, Scott Lavene, The Wave Pictures and many more...
