No, before you ask, it's not a stage name. Ever since he was a child singing into a cassette machine, Leo Brazil has been writing and recording his own music. He has written hundreds of songs and self released seven full length albums both solo, with his old band Leo Brazil and his Twitch and as part of Birds and Beasts.

Leo is a multi-instrumentalist and in the studio plays keyboards, drums and violin. Live he mostly sticks to guitars and banjo where he draws on his big repertoire of self penned songs. He has supported The Crazy World of Arthur Brown,  Son of Dave, The Blow Monkeys, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Chris Helme, Space, Miles Hunt, Romeo and Michele Stodart, The Blues Band, Seamus Fogerty, Liela Moss, The Rails and many more...

Leo draws a lot of inspiration from animals and the natural world and his songs are frequently described as catchy and quirky. Rarely sitting still he strives to create a unique and colourful evolution of sound that mixes acoustic, folk, pop and psychedelia. Since Birds and Beasts broke up Leo has been busy establishing Birds and Beasts Records which is the new home for the music he makes. Currently in the works are; a delicate acoustic record, a new dinosaur themed psychedelic rock band, a multimedia live electronica project and a series of animal themed kids books and songs.
