New psych-rock quartet Bone Wars debut with an epic first single "Terrible Lizards"

Bone Wars are a fearsome new psych rock quartet from Yorkshire. Taking their name from an obscure chapter in the history of palaeontology and writing songs that tap into shared childhood fascinations with prehistoric creatures, you can expect colossal hooks and extended sonic improvisations over pulsating beats.

Emerging from the ‘musical ecosystem’ of Birds and Beasts Records,

Bone Wars aren’t wasting any time.  Recorded after just 3 times playing together as a band - their first single “Terrible Lizards” launches their sound with more releases planned for 2025.

Expect pounding drums and funky bass, ferocious crescendos into mind bending synth solos and insane fuzz guitar colliding with wild psychedelic looping.

A trippy concoction of classic/modern psychedelia (PinkFloyd/Hawkwind/OhSees/KingGizz), funk and Turkish music  (Parliament/Mogollar/Atlin Gun) with some good old rock thrown in for the fun of it (Led Zeppelin/TheWho) Bone Wars have eclectic influences.

"Terrible Lizards" is inspired by the early pioneers of palaeontology, imagining the wonder and confusion of finding these inexplicable fossils and their attempts to explain and understand them which ultimately led to the legendary word - "dinosaurs"!
